He renounced kingship by the words of the flower-coiffured Kaikeyi, he crossed the Ganga with the help of the devoted boatman Guha. In the deep forest, he gave his sandals and the kingdom to Bharata, and lived in Chitrakuta; today he resides in Tillainagar Tiruchitrakutam. Devotees throng to see and enjoy him there. Even the gods are no match to them.
